오랜만에 포스팅합니다. 최근 앱들이 늘어나면서 업데이트 등으로 분주했습니다. 아기 젖병도 소독하고 -_-;;

2일 전에 국제 전화가 왔었습니다.

최근에 심사 때문에 애플 리뷰 팀과 통화를 한 적이 있어서.. 애플인 것 같은 느낌이 들었습니다. 그래서 대수롭지 않게 생각하고 전화를 받았는데,

“안녕하세요. 애플입니다” 라고 한국 분이 말씀을 하시더니… “Make Num 을 앱 스토어의 메인 페이지에 소개하려고 하는데 Support URL에 게시판이나 제 이메일 주소를 써달라고 했습니다”.

순간 (사무실이었지만) 핸드폰을 떨어트릴 뻔했습니다. 부랴부랴 이메일을 기재하고 메일로 답변을 드렸습니다.

그리고 오늘 오전에 iTunes Store를 들어가 보니 아래와 같이 (붉은 테두리) Make Num이 Game 카테고리의 “What’s Hot”에 떴습니다.

솔직히, 작년 9월 처음 앱 개발을 하면서 만들었던 첫 앱이었고, 애착이 가서 올해 6월까지는 업데이트를 했지만, 그 이후로는 다른 앱들 때문에 거의 방치를 하고 있었습니다. 그래서 좀 부끄럽기도 하고 ^^;;;

아무튼.. “성은”을 입었습니다.

영겁의 고통스러운 시간이었습니다.

앱을 만드는 데 걸린 시간은 일주일도 (회사를 다니면서) 채 안 걸렸는데,

컴퓨터 그래픽스 아티스트들을 CG Society 같은 곳에서 찾아서 일일이 메일을 보내고 (30여명) 자신들의 Artwork을 써도 좋다는 허락을 받고 간단한 수익 분배 계약을 체결하고 (안되는 영어로 -_-)

Sexy CG Girl Puzzle을 5월22일 등록했었습니다.

애석하게도 곧 iPhone OS 3.0이 릴리즈되었고, 모든 앱들이 iPhone 3.0 Tested 레이블을 받기 위해서 간단한 compatibility 테스트 후 모두 버전업을 하는 바람에 (앱 스토어 자체도 변신하면서 시간이 걸리고) 첫 심사 자체가 7월14일에 되었습니다.

사유는 앱의 이름에서도 알 수 있지만, contents가 야하다는 이유로.

이미지를 교체하고 다시 submit 했지만, 일주일이 넘게 걸리는 다음 reject도 다른 contents가 너무 선정적이라는 이유로 다시 reject….

이와같이 reject을 5번 정도 맞았습니다. 한 번에 전체 artwork을 보고 문제가 되는 것을 지적해주면 좋았을 것을..

그래도 위와 같이 reject을 해줄 땐 좋았습니다. App Store가 대대적으로 업데이트 될 때나, contents 문제로 내부 회의를 한 것 같은데.. 아무런 응답 없이 한 달 이상 심사 결과에 대한 메일이 없는 경우도 많았습니다.

그러던 중 9월3일 iPhone Development Team (앱 심사하는 팁)에서 보통 심사 관련 결과를 이야기 해주는 iPhone Development Team의 팀원 개인이 (담당자로 보입니다) 메일을 보내왔습니다.

App Rating을 +17이 되게 Rating을 하라는 식이었습니다 (참고로 이전까지는 +17이 되게 rating을 하면 등록 불가 Rating이었습니다).

희망을 가지고 바로 rating을 수정했는데, 거의 보름이나 지난 오늘 릴리즈가 되었습니다.

118일만에….

앱이 잘 팔리고 안 팔리고를 떠나서 심사가 되었다는 자체만으로도 벅차서 이렇게 넋두리 같은 포스트를 써봅니다.

앱에 대한 리뷰 및 redeem code 이벤트는 iPodArt님이 곧 하실 것입니다.

(참고로 몇몇 이미지는 심사 때 reject 되어서 교체된 것도 있습니다)

p.s. 곧 Server에서 CG Artwork을 받아서 볼 수 있는 앱도 출시 예정입니다.

* Game 카테고리여서 한국 앱 스토어에서는 찾을 수 없습니다.

아주 hot 한 앱이 아직도 심사가 아직도 안 끝났는데 ㅜ.ㅜ 더 늦게 submit한 이 앱이 먼저 심사되는군요. 에공.

Figure 1. The icon of this app is placed on bottom right. The design concept of this game is simple (exactly, no design) for user to think that they can build this game by themselves.

Figure 2. As you see, the main page of this app is decorated with users’ puzzle image.
The transparent images under the main page are automatically changed whenever users make or delete new or existing puzzles.

In the current initial version, users can set name, where to select images, image, mode (rectangle), line color.
